Accreditation
In November 2002, we received accreditation from the American Animal
Hospital Association.
AAHA is the only organization that provides
accreditation for veterinary hospitals throughout
the United States and Canada. AAHA was founded in
1933.
To become accredited, hospitals must practice in
accordance with AAHA's standards of excellence.
A practice consultant periodically visits our
hospital to ensure that we meet or exceed these
standards.
Accreditation is a voluntary program. We have
chosen to be accredited because of our commitment
to excellence in small animal care.
By following these strict standards, we are in a
better position to provide patients with the very
best in veterinary care.
AAHA standards are a mark of distinction that
set our practice apart from others.
We undergo assessment in the following areas:
medical records, examination facilities, pharmacy,
laboratory, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology,
surgery, dentistry, nursing care, housekeeping and
maintenance, continuing education and emergency
services.
Approximately 12 percent of animal hospitals in
North America are accredited by AAHA.
